You must be a cunning woman!

Who would not love a God like this?
Who would not wash His feet with tears?
Who would not raise her hands in His presence?
Or kiss His nail-scarred hands, when these are the hands that reach out to heal the broken areas in her life?
A woman needs to know that there is a God who can know her darkest, deepest secrets and still have compassion for her.
What woman would not tremble in the presence of a God who would assume the task of defending her and stand between her and her assailants?
What woman would not appreciate a God, who becomes an attorney, assumes her case, requires no fee, and wins her the victory?
What woman would not be awed to know that there is a God who can be convinced of her guilt and yet insist on her forgiveness?
This is the epitome of love: to know that we are all naked before Him and yet somehow He, by His grace, stoops down and touches the dirty places in our lives.
It is recognizing this kind of mercy that causes the woman of the twenty-first century to fall in love with the God who is called the ‘Ancient of Days.’
He is older than time itself, and yet He is more relevant than this morning’s paper.
He is before when or where; He is before this or that.
And yet He is God who is never referred to in the past tense.
He is not the God that was; He is the God that is.
He is the God that is called I Am. I Am what? You ask. He is whatever you need Him to be, whenever you need Him to be.
I am sorry, and I apologize on behalf of all the men of the world because none of them can be this but God.
He is the absolute of which the men are just a shadow.
He is the reality of which the men are just a substitute.
The man can hold you through the night, but He can hold you through the ages.
So when our arms grow weak and weary, we can recommend a God who neither sleeps nor slumbers.
He can stop the stones that should have been hurled at you.
One word from Him gives you the second chance you need to succeed.
Your husband may be the lover of your body, but He is the lover of your soul.
Your husband may kiss your lips, but He can kiss the tears from your eyes, the pain from your memories, the clouds from your skies.
He is the great lover.
He paid the price to bear the name.
He shed the blood that became the evidence, and became the judge of this world to throw your case out of court.
Because of Him, you are free!
You must be a cunning woman

A cunning woman is a woman who is intelligent enough to know what it is she needs and who possesses the ability to accomplish the goal she has determined.
The goal is to have an intimate, personal relationship with God.
He then becomes the underground water that replenishes the dry soil and prepares your ground for the abundant harvest of blessing that is promised through His Word.
You must pursue him with passion.
You must pursue him with intensity.
I cannot explain it, but there seems to be some depth of worship that the feminine heart has a tendency to reach but only few men will ever encounter.
It seems that women somehow understand how to lose themselves in the presence of God in a unique and powerful way.
Once a woman understands that Christ is her goal, she seems able to focus on Him, allure Him, and entertain Him with a level of praise that is so engrossing that she is healed by His touch and fulfilled by His Word.
I have seen women who were so impacted by His invisible presence that they were able to walk away from the presence of others who were far more tangible, but far less effective.
These women praise the Lord with a romanticism that is so engrossing.
They write Him poetry and sing Him songs.
They dance in His presence.
They raise hands toward Him in the middle of the night.
They walk through the house exchanging thoughts and pleasantries.
They seem almost like little girls sitting in the lap of an aged father whose touch is so loving.
These women arise from the altar of praise and walk the streets of life with an inner confidence and an inner knowing that cause them to have a smile for which no man is responsible.
These are the daughters of Sarah.
In order to be a daughter of Sarah you must be a woman whose relationship with God is so intense that when you are faced with challenges you refuse to be intimidated or overwhelmed.
In fact, you resist the temptation to be traumatized by the crises of life.
You choose to walk in the full assurance that the presence of God is there to walk beside you.
You breathe the good of life and exhale the bad of life.
And the process continues without asphyxiation because you have learned that all these things are but a process, a process that will lead you closer to the presence of God.

He is! Yes! He is!

I fall, I sin, I even delight in sinful ways.

I am a spiritual adulterer as I mourn and groan in the arms of another in sinful lust.

I am frail, I  am fragile, I am weak and I know it.

I am sick, so sick of this kind of life but still I’d rather be sick than be healed by the Healer.

I’d rather soar high in sin because then the world would embrace me still.

BUT! Each time I settle for less, the spirit in me asks, “Who is like He that loves me anyway?”

“Who is He that says I should come as I am?”

He that says that I am His child, as prodigal as I am.

So I rejoice in my weakness. I rejoice in who I am. I love what I am becoming. Because I know that the Lord is working on me.
I am not there yet, but this is better than where I was before He lit my path.

He is! Yes! He is!

He is working on me!

He is working on me!

My flesh fails me. I am weak….but He loves me anyway. He lifts me anyway. He tells me He is doing a new thing in me anyway!

He whispers whenever I care to listen.

He gives me insight whenever I care to see.

He says I am His and the spirit He put in me when I accepted Him is jealous, jealous for me!

He says He is raising a Gideon in me.

My background does not allow me….my sinful nature discourages me….my fragility in thought and in speech remind me that I am but human.

But still He loves me.

I see many people proclaiming how strong they are.

I see many more speaking of how capable they are.

I see even a whole lot more who trust in themselves so intently that they claim trust in oneself is all it takes to go up the stairs of life.

But as for me, I am nothing on my own.

I am nothing without my creator.

I am nothing if He is not everything to me.

I fall, I sin, I even have ungodly thoughts, I got envy, I have pride, and I hunger and covet for what’s not mine. And that's not even all...

But with Him in me, a new thing is done, a new thing is made!

With Him in me, a whole creation abides!

With Him in me, I stand!

With Him in me I am able to smile, to laugh, to sing, to write, to dance, to rejoice the loudest in the crowd. To walk in a grace that transcends my innermost being. To hold and to be held by the potter. To rest in the shadow of the Almighty because He, I AM, has found in me a worthy place to lay his Head.

He is all that and so much more to me!

To speak and command authority I shall because it is Him that is working in me.

So Yes! I am weak, but He that is in me is strong.

He is the ancient of days, if He raised a Gideon then, He shall raise a Gideon in me now!

Praise the Lord, O my soul!

Praise the Lord!

The lady: A Private Garden

The lady is a fertile field.

Her tender heart is softly turned soil that awaits the seed.

She carries the potential of massive reproduction.

Her mind is the incubator of dreams and the womb of greatness.

She is irrigated when in love and dehydrated when hurt.

She is enriched by those who love her and stripped by those who abuse her.

Those whom she touches will dine on her harvest.

She will be the end of someone’s famine.

She is a garden.

She is the place where hunger is sated.

She is that place where hungers will be quenched.

She is the place where rich soil will produce fertile food and lives are richer because of her.

She is a garden.

She is the focal point of those who love her and the absolute envy of those who don’t.

Yes, the lady is a garden of love and a field of potential, and it is a field that is to be carefully planted.

She is as vulnerable as freshly turned soil.

She is a field open and exposed.

To the lady I warn, “Be careful what you grow in your garden.”

Or better still, be careful whom you let sow in your field.

There are some things that you will not want to be seeded in your heart and your life.

The Bible teaches us that words are like seeds.

Whenever they are spoken, they bring forth fruit.

It suggests that we as Christians are begotten by the word.

That is to say that our salvation is as a result of the words that are sown into us.

That is why preaching is so powerful.

It is word; it is seed sown.

Most major changes in our country have happened as a result of words that are spoken.

If the entire nation is altered by words, then you can be certain that individuals are altered by the power of words.

Sensitivity

Don't brag about your money in front
of a Poor Person.
Don't brag about your power in front
of a Weak Person.
Don't brag about your health in front
of a Sick Person.
Don't brag about your happiness in
front of a Sad Person.
Don't brag about your love in front of
a Person with a Broken Heart.
Don't brag about your Father and
Mother in front of an Orphan.

Life may not be the party we hoped for

So it's raining outside.

I'm home alone. I keep myself busy by cleaning everything clean-able whether dirty or not.

Of course Hope Fm's playing the background...and you should know Binti here loves to dance while cleaning....*chuckles

This specific dance was not to a specific song playing.

It was not even danced in tune to any dance move possible.

Nah...it was a dance of reflection.

dance quotes photo: Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we're here we might as well dance tumblr_milh83m9qF1r7bw3do1_500-inspiration_zps1b7e35b2.jpg
Don't envy me...

Don't envy where I come from..

Not even the smile on my face deserves your envy for it covers a million tears of aches you'll never know of...

My previous job, was done because there is need to pay for bills and debts...so don't envy that either...

Don't even envy my so called outward beauty, you just be comfortable in your own skin...

And my love life, I had to part with so much of that past wrecked life to be where I am.... Thank Jesus!

We all have people in our lives who many at times we envy.

There are those who would envy the virgins since they lost theirs along the way.

There those who would envy the rich since they've never known how it feels not to have money as a problem.

There are those that envy the employed....the brainies...the leaders...the talented...the skilled ....the beautiful...the tall, dark and handsome...the married...the ones in relationships...the ones whose lives always seem to have it all figured out...the ones who have what we long for.

But one thing is for sure, envy does not get you there....appreciating what you have does.

No one lives a perfect life, not even the ones you envy.

We all are trying to live up to something greater than today.

We all are trying to walk in blind faith that the tests in our lives shall eventually be transmitted into a testimony.

So keep on...as I keep on...

Encourage me...as I encourage you...

See past my faults and failures... I'm trying to do the same...

And as I dance to this dance of reflection....

I now know that I'm nowhere close to the word LUCKY... I'm operating under a lot of GRACE from the GREAT I AM!

Daily Prescription of Envy

What if all your friends' posts are on their perfect relationships and how they're progressing from 'in a relationship' to 'engaged' to 'married'?

What if all their status updates are about their happy families?

What if they keep on uploading beautiful photos reflecting their beautiful lives.

What if they have a great inner circle of friends who always remind them of how important they are?

What if they keep posting on how God keeps blessing them day after day,and they give evidence of blessings as well?

What if they keep talking of their joy in salvation?

And it does happen daily on facebook and all these social cites.

Yet You're experiencing none of it if any.

You wonder why or how they've got their act together and you don't.

I'll be clear about one thing,JUST BECAUSE THEY DON'T EXPOSE THEIR STRUGGLE DOESN'T MEAN THEY DON'T STRUGGLE! Otherwise they'd seize to be human beings.

You can't ask THEM to quit.

Others post to convince themselves that they have perfect lives, which no one does.

Others post because they're trying to run away from the reality of their struggle.

Others post out of pressure.

Others post because they simply and selfishly want to stir envy amongst their peers.

And others post, because they innocently desire to share their JOY(note that I only said joy) with the rest of the world.

You envy them forgetting that they too, even in that good relationship that they portray to be in...even in that perfect family they post about...a beautiful life they live...they do have joys, but at every one point in their lives, they too have struggles.

If you can handle the heat,REJOICE with them!

But, QUIT if you can't.

Who said your life depended on social media?

You deserve so much better than a daily reminder of how, amongst your peers, you're the only one stuck on the same page.

You can't progress with a daily prescription of ENVY.

You either overcome envy...or it will overcome you!

Choose one!

I want to wear white..

I want to wear white

If the flaw of my skin or the lack of radiance and glow on me still amuses you, then hey, I’d wear white for you…

Don’t fall in love with the milk of my teeth or the bump of my curves, hey, these are mere assets, they won’t raise your kids
Or maybe my complexion does inspire you beyond measure, but love of mine, I might tint or tan someday, then you shall awake and want me no more…
Don’t be lured by the softness of my tongue, that’s my tongue, search my heart and character instead..
And when you search my heart and character, should you take delight in them, then my man, I will wear white for you
Should your today turn out more inspired than your yesterday, just by virtue of me being in it, sweet love, I’d wear white for you. But that is if I affirm that your inspiration is not founded on the basis of my outward but rather the character of my within…
Tomorrow is beautiful, more beautiful than today, so don’t be deceived with my current energy as I purpose to wow you, try me at my worst, am I worthy of wearing white even then?
I want to wear white, even you know I want to wear white for you, but should the impurity of my past cause your heart discomfort, then Prince, allow me not wear white for you…
Today I may look perfect…humanly indispensible…. I may seem irresistible….but you gotta understand Prince of the land, that any woman is capable of making you feel the same, so think, what should make only me wear white for you….
The bitter truth is, there is a woman more glorious than I ….a woman more profound….a woman who understands her ways better than I do mine…a woman who’s way fly…a woman more gorgeous…a woman from a better family….having been raised on better standards…a woman more responsible…a woman who would challenge you to greater heights...a woman more gracious….a woman who would make you question why it has to be me and not her that should wear white for you….and when this questions pops, even I would want to know why not her but me who should wear white for you…..though I must thank God I haven’t met this woman either..ha!
You see even my papa loves how I cook, but I know of a single, ambitious, independent, sexy, intelligent and cultured woman who can cook better…..so think Prince, why should I be the one to wear white for you….
My humor ain’t amusing…even I wonder at its emptiness…so why would you want to be stuck with me after I wear white for you....
I come as a package of a sweet mix of perfect and imperfect….and there will be times that my imperfect nature will meet your eye the more…then you’d know that I’m not all that…my Prince, would you still want me in white….
There are days when my ways won’t please you…the grace of walk won’t appeal to you…my talk won’t amuse you…my body won’t arouse you…the smoothness of voice won’t lure you….the blink of my eye and the smile of my lips won’t melt your innermost man….would you still want me in white for you?
I write to you, I come to you in humility, I speak to you hoping my words shall not bring you loath….Prince, I come to you covered, veiled, in respect and perfect submission….and on my knees I come asking, as my imperfect unfolds, would you still want me in white?
